Employee Relations Specialist 3-6 Month Fixed Term Contract - Colchester

Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is confident managing high-volume employee relations casework? Were looking for a dedicated Employee Relations (ER) Specialist to join our team and provide expert guidance to our homes on a 3-6 month fixed-term contract

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance and coaching to managers on a wide range of employee relations issues, including performance, absence, disciplinary, and grievances.
  • Lead and manage high-risk, sensitive, and complex ER cases, from investigation through to resolution and outcome delivery.
  • Conduct thorough and fair investigations into disciplinary and grievance matters.
  • Support conflict resolution efforts across the business, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance with employment law and company policies.
  • Draft clear, well-reasoned outcomes and documentation relating to ER cases.
  • Operate confidently in a fast-paced, multi-site environment, balancing multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in an HR/ER role within a multi-site organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practice in employee relations.
  • Confident in handling complex and sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
  • Exceptional communication, coaching, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative HR team
