Day-to-day: You will be the Firm's subject matter expert on employee relations, providing trusted advice on complex and sensitive matters. We will want you to:

  • Lead a wide range of employee relations cases from initial assessment through to resolution, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, absence, workplace conduct and flexible working. Provide commercially focused and legally sound advice to leaders, helping them manage risk while reaching fair and consistent outcomes.
  • Conduct and oversee investigations into complex employee matters with HR Business Partners and Advisors to share expertise, build capability and strengthen manager confidence.
  • Develop and refine policies, guidance and processes, ensuring they remain practical, compliant and fit for purpose.
  • Monitor employee relations trends and data, identifying opportunities to improve processes, mitigate risk and enhance the employee experience.
  • Keep pace with employment law developments, translating them into clear and actionable guidance for the business.

Our HR team: You’ll be part of a collaborative HR team that partners with leaders across the Firm on a wide range of people matters. We work at pace, support one another, and focus on delivering practical solutions that help our people and the business succeed.

We take a flexible and agile approach to work. As a team, we agree the working arrangements that best support collaboration, client service and individual wellbeing, recognising that flexibility works best when it benefits both our people and the business.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with sound judgement and a practical, solutions-focused mindset. In particular we need someone with:

  • Significant experience managing complex employee relations knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • The confidence to advise and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent investigation, coaching and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
  • Experience of professional services, legal or partnership environments would be an advantage.
