Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing is seeking an Employee Relations Manager on a fixed-term contract based in Beeston for 6 months. You will provide expert advice on complex employment matters, acting as the escalation point for the People Team and guiding case management to high-quality, timely outcomes.

You will lead cases in collaboration with Heads of People, external legal providers, payroll colleagues and trade unions, while overseeing reporting, policy improvements and learning

Qualifications

• At least five years' experience in employee relations within a multi-disciplinary organisation.
• Relevant HR qualification and CIPD membership.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law; advised on complex high-risk cases.
• Experience with ACAS and Employment Tribunal cases, TUPE and external providers.
• Ability to coach managers and handle difficult conversations objectively.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong data analysis; turn case insights into practical actions.
• Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft 365 tools.

Responsabilités

• Provide expert, practical advice on complex employment matters across MTVH.
• Act as escalation point for People Advisors and Assistants for case work.
• Lead individual cases; collaborate with Heads of People and external lawyers.
• Interface with Payroll and trade unions to identify risks and outcomes.
• Oversee Case Management Tracker and regular reporting for policy updates.
• Coach managers on performance, conduct matters and conflict resolution.
• Contribute to policy improvements and learning interventions.
