Working directly to the Deputy Director (HR Services), this vital and rewarding role offers an excellent opportunity for the next step in your HR career.
In this role, you will help build our distinctive employee relations practice that fosters a positive employee experience, aligned with the University's culture of trust and care. This ensures we deliver our Employee Value Proposition to all staff.
You will provide specialist advice, develop, review, and improve employee relations policies, procedures, and guidance. You will also be involved in the training and development of line managers to equip them with the knowledge and skills to manage employees positively, respectfully, and effectively. This includes applying the University’s Resolution Framework and Support & Report Portal, developed in partnership with the TCM Group. This innovative approach was recognized with an award at the 2024 Business Culture Awards and enables positive, resolution-focused interventions to change future behavior and enhance our culture and employee experience.
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Resilience and a drive to innovate and improve our HR services are also essential.
You will be part of a talented, encouraging, and positive HR Business Partnering and Advisory team.
