About the Directorate of Corporate Services

The Directorate of Corporate Services is responsible for the effective delivery of Corporate Services to the Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA). Corporate Services includes Communications, IT, Procurement, Finance, Health & Safety, Human Resources (HR), Internal Audit and Assurance, Programme Management Office, and Property & Facilities.

Human Resources is a key enabling function responsible for the planning and delivery of the MCA's People Strategy and a full range of HR services including Organisational Design and Development, Talent Management, Employee Relations, Volunteer support, Reward and Resourcing, Planning and Governance.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will support the HR Employee Relations Contract Manager in effectively delivering MCA’s Occupational Health and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) contracts, along with the associated HR policies and procedures.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

  • Supporting the HR Employee Relations Contract Manager on the day-to-day management of the MCA’s Occupational Health and EAP contracts.
  • Conducting regular audits of recall data for operational roles shared by Occupational Health, escalating any discrepancies or concerns and ensuring timely resolution and compliance.
  • Implementing the Workplace Adjustment policy effectively, supporting managers to ensure employees receive necessary adjustments to perform their duties effectively and safely.
  • Maintaining accurate data, proactively identifying solutions to address potential risks.
  • Supporting the day-to-day management and forecasting of the Occupational Health, Workplace Adjustment and EAP budgets, providing monthly updates to the HR Employee Relations Contract Manager and HR Governance colleagues.
  • Providing advice on queries relating to Occupational Health, EAP and Workplace Adjustments, including monitoring associated inboxes.
  • Promoting Occupational Health, EAP and Workplace Adjustments services internally
