Job description

Employee Relations Business Partner

Home based with national travel to our children's homes and schools

Salary: £49,995 with a £3500 annual car allowance

Holiday: 25 days holiday +8 bank holidays

This role is ERBP initially for 6 months but with the possibility of it becoming permanent.

Driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential

We're looking for a dynamic and proactive Employee Relations Business Partner to join our team. In this exciting role, you'll provide expert advice and guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters, supporting our homes and schools across the nation.

What you'll get to do:

  1. Provide expert advice and guidance to managers and employees on all aspects of employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance management.
  2. Manage complex employee relations cases, ensuring compliance with employment law and best practice.
  3. Develop and deliver training to managers on employee relations policies and procedures.
  4. Support the development and implementation of employee relations policies and procedures.
  5. Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
  6. Travel nationally to our homes and schools as required.
  7. Work remotely, managing your own time and workload effectively.

What we're looking for from you:

  1. Proven experience as an Employee Relations Business Partner or similar role.
  2. In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and best practice.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and manage a remote workload.
  7. Full UK driving license and willingness to travel nationally.
  8. CIPD qualification level 7 or equivalent.
