Office Angels is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join their HR team in Westerham, Kent. You will provide expert guidance on employee relations matters, manage a varied caseload, and support managers to achieve fair, compliant outcomes in line with employment law and company policy.

You will handle disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, capability, and wellbeing issues, ensuring accurate case records and timely reporting while collaborating with the People Team on HR

Qualifications

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent HR/Employee Relations experience.
  • Experience managing a broad range of employee relations cases.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Experience using HR information systems and MS Office (Word/Excel).
  • Good organisational and problem-solving abilities; proactive approach.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a varied caseload of employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance issues.
  • Provide expert advice to managers on ER best practice and employment legislation.
  • Support managers with complex sickness absence cases and health-related capability matters.
  • Coordinate sickness reviews and liaise with Occupational Health providers.
  • Facilitate difficult conversations and resolutions of workplace conflicts.
  • Maintain accurate case records and ensure documentation is compliant and up to date.
  • Escalate high-risk or complex cases as required.
  • Support organisational change projects including restructures, TUPE transfers, and redundancies.
  • Collaborate with People Team to deliver HR initiatives and projects.
  • Analyse ER and wellbeing trends and provide actionable insights.
  • Contribute to the development of HR policies and people practices.
  • Deliver a professional, customer-focused ER service to managers and employees.

Employee Relations Advisor, Westerham, Kent, £35,000

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Employee Relations Advisor to join a collaborative and supportive HR team. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with strong employee relations experience who enjoys providing practical advice, managing complex cases, and supporting managers to create positive workplace outcomes.

You will deliver expert, commercially focused guidance on a wide range of employee relations and wellbeing matters, ensuring cases are managed fairly, consistently, and in line with employment legislation and company policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a varied caseload of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, capability, and performance issues.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to managers on employee relations best practice and employment legislation
  • Support managers in handling complex sickness absence cases and health-related capability matters
  • Coordinate sickness reviews and liaise with Occupational Health providers where appropriate
  • Facilitate difficult conversations and support the resolution of workplace conflicts

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent HR/Employee Relations experience
  • Previous experience managing a broad range of employee relations cases
  • Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience using HR information systems, case management systems, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • The ability to build effective working relationships at all levels
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
