Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Scotstoun is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to provide compliant ER advisory support in a hybrid role (office 2–3 days weekly). The role manages a broad ER case load and serves as a trusted adviser to HR and leadership.

The successful candidate will work with Trade Unions and key stakeholders, applying Acas guidance and current employment law to deliver sound, strategic ER solutions. This is a 12-month contract opportunity.

Qualifications

• Experience of Employee Relations and Case Management practices is essential.
• Knowledge of Acas Code of Practice, current employment law legislation and up to date case law is essential.
• Ability to work autonomously yet manage risk effectively.
• Experience working with Trade Unions and Employee Representative Groups.
• Data analysis to create actionable insights.
• Excellent stakeholder management and persuasive communication at all levels.
• Strong communication and diplomacy skills.
• Digital acumen with case management technology.

Responsibilities

• Provide a comprehensive and compliant ER advisory service to managers and stakeholders.
• Manage a large portfolio of ER cases including investigations, disciplinaries and grievances.
• Act as a trusted adviser to local HR and leadership.
• Collaborate with Business HR, CoE, Labour Law, Trade Unions, Ethics and Security.
• Contribute to development of strategic HR initiatives and embed new solutions.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and enterprise-wide knowledge sharing.

Employee Relations Advisor

Scotstoun Based (Hybrid working 2-3 days per week in the office)

£28.15 an hour Umbrella Inside IR35

12 Month Contract initially.

This is a great opportunity to work within a leading Defence organisation based in Scotstoun. This role is hybrid working 2-3 days per week in the office.

As a specialist within the ER CoE, specicifically the UK Case Coaching service, this role will focus on:

• Ensuring the provision of a comprehensive and compliant employee relations advisory service, providing strategic and legally sound advice, guidance and support to managers of all levels, and business stakeholders.
• Managing a large portfolio of ER cases, including investigations, disciplinaries and grievances of various complexity and risk.
• Acting as trusted adviser to local business HR and leadership.
• Working collaboratively with key stakeholders, including but not limited to Business HR, CoE, Labour Law, Trade Union, Ethics and Security.
• Contributing to the development of and understanding the strategic HR initiatives of the relevant organisation. Working within the wider HR model to provide guidance and to design and embed new solutions.
• Facilitating identification of opportunities for increased efficiency and synergy across the organisation through enterprise-wide knowledge sharing.

Knowledge

• Demonstrable knowledge of Acas Code of Practice, current employment law legislation and up to date case law is essential.
