Job summary

Thomas Carroll in Caerphilly is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Client Broker to support the placement and servicing of risks for corporate clients. The role focuses on delivering accurate market submissions, negotiating terms and managing renewals with insurers.

You will build lasting client relationships, provide proactive broking support and contribute to cross-selling wider group services while ensuring compliant and high-quality client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Insurance industry experience in broking, account handling or client service.
• Experience supporting client accounts, renewals and insurance placements.
• Good understanding of insurance products, policy wordings and market practices.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience working within FCA-regulated environments and adhering to compliance requirements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Progress towards or commitment to achieving professional insurance qualifications (Cert CII).
• Experience contributing to business development, retention and growth activities.
• Knowledge of Employee Benefits markets.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the placement of risks with insurers and service providers.
• Preparing market submissions, presentations and supporting documentation.
• Negotiating policy terms, conditions and premiums.
• Producing client reports for new business and renewal terms.
• Arranging insurance cover in line with client instructions.
• Managing renewals, mid-term adjustments and new business administration.
• Maintaining accurate client records and ensuring documentation is issued correctly.
• Supporting debt management and financial administration activities.
• Identifying opportunities for cross-selling and introducing clients to wider group services.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, insurers and business partners.
