Employability Trainer

Salary: £33,000 pro Rata

Location: Brent

Please note that this role is on a 10-month FTC

The role of Employability Trainer is pivotal in supporting participants who have been out of work for at least 6 months to find sustainable employment.

No two days are the same! The Employability Trainer will deliver employability support to groups of participants, guiding and challenging them to develop the skills and knowledge needed for lasting employment, including CV writing, interview skills, confidence building, and other essential skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Run group training sessions on key employability skills such as confidence building, CV writing, and effective interviews.
  • Respond to challenges as they arise throughout the day.
  • Build effective and positive relationships with participants, working collaboratively and challenging them to overcome barriers to employment.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to support caseloads into sustainable employment.
Experience Required:
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering effective courses, workshops, and training.
  • Experience working with IT and Office software.
  • Knowledge of the local labour market.
  • Ability to network effectively to build and maintain relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to persuade, influence, and listen.
  • Training or coaching qualification.
