Job summary

Employability Support Worker (E7690) - Barca Leeds

What will the role look like?

Bright Horizons is funded by The Reaching Communities Fund and supports jobless parents and carers experiencing health, social and economic barriers which stop them finding work.

Employability Support Workers will support economically inactive adults including parents, carers and those experiencing health, social and economic barriers entering the workforce.

They will work on identifying and managing the barriers that have led them to being economically inactive, such as time out through parental responsibilities, physical and mental health issues or having left the workforce prematurely e.g. through early retirement.

They will help people overcome barriers and identify pathways back to employment for example through education, training or directly helping them get back into work.

What we are looking for?

Experience of working with families with multiple or complex needs is a must. You should also have an understanding of the needs of people affected by employment issues, and knowledge and experience of job search, interview skills, CV writing, employability skills and welfare and financial support.
