The Opportunity

The Employability Coach position offers a meaningful opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people aged 17–21 who are currently not in education, employment, or training (NEET). As part of the Youth Guarantee initiative, the role focuses on empowering individuals through personalized 1:1 coaching, engaging group sessions, and partnerships with local employers. By addressing barriers and building essential skills, confidence, and motivation, the coach helps young people move toward sustainable, positive destinations.

About you

This dynamic role is ideal for someone passionate about youth development and willing to work flexibly, including occasional evenings or weekends, to meet the needs of the individuals they support. We’re looking for a proactive and organised individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be able to motivate and inspire young people, supporting them to overcome barriers and achieve their goals. You’ll have experience in the Further Education sector, a working knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety, and relevant qualifications in youth work, coaching, or careers guidance. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle may also be required.
