Salary - £28,000 - £36,000 per annum

We are looking for an Employability and Work Skills Tutor to join us at HMP Dovegate - a Category B adult male facility near Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, where we care for up to 1160 male adult prisoners over the age of 21, serving a range of sentences including trial, remand, those awaiting sentence, and convicted men serving long and short-term sentences.

The Employability and Work Skills Tutor is responsible for delivering a range of functional skills, employability skills, and life skills programmes, including sex education. The role focuses on the delivery of functional skills (English and numeracy), alongside employability, life skills, and sex education.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering education programmes in line with regulatory standards (OFSTED, awarding bodies, etc.)
• Designing and delivering engaging and effective training sessions
• Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback

What I need to do the role?

• Minimum L3 Award in Education and Training (or equivalent)
• Experience of delivering both work skills and employability programmes
• Experience of designing and delivering education programmes in the adult education sector, including experience of working within a regulated quality environment (OFSTED, awarding bodies, etc.)
• Relevant industry experience in the education sector
