Job summary

Five Education is seeking a compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a well-resourced school in Gloucester. You will provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs, helping them progress academically and personally.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK – sponsorship not offered
• Two recent references (from the last two years)
• Current DBS check registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply
• If you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, a new one may be processed at £62.70 (refunded after 20 days)

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support in line with EHCP targets
• Adapt learning materials to suit different learning styles
• Support students in communication, emotional regulation, confidence and independence
• Collaborate with teaching staff and SENDCo to implement support strategies
• Promote a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
• Supervise students during breaks and lunchtimes
