Job summary

NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Podiatry Clinical Support Worker (Band 3) to join our podiatry service. You will assist podiatrists in nail surgery, wound care, and diabetic foot assessments, providing compassionate support to patients across hospital, community, and home settings.

You will help with foot health advice, aftercare, diabetes checks, and health promotion activities while maintaining clinic efficiency and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assisting podiatrists during procedures such as nail surgery and wound care.
• Providing foot health advice and basic care to patients and carers.
• Carrying out aftercare and re-dressings for nail surgery.
• Carrying out foot checks, dressings and patient education for diabetes care.
• Helping at health promotion events to raise awareness of foot health.
• Keeping clinics running smoothly with clerical, stock and administrative support.
• Reassuring anxious patients and ensuring their comfort during treatment.
• Contributing to infection control and patient safety.
