Job summary

Ceredigion County Council Direct Payment Support Service is seeking a part-time PA to support a 30-year-old wheelchair user with outings, daily tasks, and home management. The role is 12 hours per week with flexible scheduling to be agreed at interview, and involves assisting with cooking, cleaning, dressing and bathing, plus supporting mental health and wellbeing.

A driver is essential, and candidates must have permission to work in the UK. Preference for a female PA, but all genders welcome.

Qualifications

• Must have empathy and understanding due to complexity of health conditions.
• A driver is essential for the role.
• Flexibility to work 12 hours weekly.
• Female PA preferable but open to either gender.

Responsibilities

• Provide support with outings and daily tasks (cooking, cleaning, dressing, bathing).
• Organise the home and help with shopping and dog care.
• Encourage and motivate the client to maintain mental health and wellbeing.
• Respond with empathy to fluctuating health and adjust plans on short notice.
