Job description
Overview

We are looking for 4 part time Family Practitioners (Emotional Wellbeing) to join our Leaving Care Teams in Staffordshire. This role focuses on providing targeted emotional wellbeing support to care leavers aged 18+, helping them build resilience, regulate emotions, and feel empowered. This role may involve occasional evening work and travel to any district in Staffordshire, and may involve travel out of county. We offer a flexible working policy. If you are interested in full-time hours, please apply as we will consider a full-time role, working across 2 leaving care teams for the ideal candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Work alongside young peoplers allocated PAs to support young people to meet the aims of their Pathway Plans
  • Work closely with care leavers, building trusting relationships and offering one-to-one support as well as some group work when needed
  • Complete emotional wellbeing assessments
  • Contribute to multi-agency support plans
  • Contribute to the growth and development of this new role in coordination with Leaving Care Senior Practitioners
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Experience working with young people with complex needs
  • Compassionate, resilient, and skilled in building rapport with vulnerable individuals
  • Creativity in engagement; openness to arts-based, digital, and experiential approaches
  • Ability to travel across districts (and occasionally out-of-area) and work some evenings
  • Transferable skills from housing, nursing, armed forces, police services

About the Role

The Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner is an exciting new role to support Care Leavers. There will be scope for this role to evolve over time as the service demands, with opportunities to contribute to its growth in coordination with Leaving Care Senior Practitioners.
