A healthcare organization in Ipswich is seeking an Emotional Wellbeing Hub Practitioner. This part-time role involves supporting children and young people with mental health needs while covering maternity leave. Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications and experience, along with strong clinical judgement. The position offers competitive compensation and a supportive team environment.
12 Month Maternity Cover: We have an exciting opportunity for aBand 6 flexi, part time post (17 hours per week) within the Emotional Wellbeing Hub, for a qualifiedPractitioner (mental health nurse/ occupational therapist/ social worker) to join our dynamic young person focused Child, Family and Young Persons Service (CFYP) in Suffolk. This is an exciting opportunity to support the ongoing development of the iThrive framework in Suffolk in a locality-based model.
The post holder will be responsible for responding to queries and referrals to initiate the most appropriate sources of support for children and young people. Including facilitating therapeutic conversations, risk assessment, safety planning and arranging onward referrals.
The Emotional Wellbeing Hub is based at Mariner House,43 Handford Road, Ipswich, IP1 2GA. We have hybrid working in place. There is limited parking and if parking is required there is pay and display close by which NSFT will refund in your monthly payslip.
The Emotional Wellbeing Hub is currently an 8am-8pm service Monday to Friday not including bank holidays. This post is covering maternity leave from November 2025, working 3 days a week would be preferable either Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays or Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays.
Hours would likely be: 2 days 9:00am-3:00pm 1 day 9:00am-2:00pm.

We are looking for candidates who have a registered profession, have kept up their CPD in order to retain their registered profession. It would be desirable for candidates to have experience of 2 years or more working with children/adolescents and young adults within the mental health field who can demonstrate an excellent understanding of the mental health needs of this client group.
We are looking for candidates with sound clinical judgement and good understanding of safeguarding and risk assessment.
Previous experience in assessment and formulation is essential.
