We'd love you to join us to help promote the health and wellbeing of prisoners entering HMP Preston. Emotional Resilience Facilitators will support the delivery of Pact’s Emotional Resilience service for the benefit of prisoners. If you have an understanding of prison life, and are a 'doer' and 'people person', you might be the person we're looking for.

About You:

Please note: This role is open to individuals with their own personal experience of imprisonment, and those without.

Because you personally know what prison is like, you'll be able to connect with people in prison, empathise with their emotional challenges, and support them effectively. You should be comfortable communicating with people of all backgrounds, able to find the right words and tone to share your vision, and be a great listener who understands others' perspectives. You will be hardworking, organised, calm under pressure, and experienced in liaising with various people and organisations to achieve goals. If this describes you, we'd love to meet you.

Organisation:

Pact is a highly respected independent charity working across England and Wales. We develop and deliver innovative services, providing practical and emotional support to prisoners' children and families, to prisoners, and to those resettling into the community. Our work is based on core values, including a belief in the innate dignity of every human being, focusing on human relationships, family, and community. We are committed to high standards of quality in all we do.

What We Offer:

Pact offers a range of benefits, including a free advice, information, and counselling service, contributory pension, corporate eye care scheme, cycle-to-work scheme, and generous holiday entitlement. You will have opportunities for professional development through training and interventions. You will undergo a thorough induction and be supported by a friendly, enthusiastic team.
