Job summary

Polaris Education - Redstone Hall School in Ipswich invites applications for an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA). The role is full-time during term time with a salary of 21,257.48–23,232.69 GBP per year, start ASAP. The school emphasises emotional wellbeing, inclusion and safeguarding, and offers a supportive development path.

You will lead ELSA sessions, support pupils with SEMH/autism, and collaborate with the educational team to promote positive student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong basic education with GCSE 4/C or equivalent in English & Maths.
• Sound IT skills and comfort with tech
• Experience in a similar role such as HLTA or Cover Supervisor
• Experience with pupils with SEMH and/or autism
• Proven behaviour management techniques and commitment to development.

Responsibilities

• Support improvements in wellbeing, readiness for learning, resilience and behaviour management at Redstone Hall School.
• Assist in pupil personal and academic development by removing barriers to learning.
• Promote positive learning behaviours among pupils and lead planning/assessment during PPA time.
• Deliver enrichment activities and provide lesson support for pupils' academic and pastoral needs.
• Respond to concerns, prepare information for meetings and advocate the school ethos.
