At JLR, compliance isn’t just a box to tick — it’s a critical part of delivering world-class vehicles to markets across the globe. As a CoP Test and Facilities Engineer, you’ll be part of the Product Compliance team within Enterprise Performance and Quality, ensuring our vehicles meet global regulatory and safety standards. Based at our Solihull site, you’ll play a hands-on role in maintaining and developing the test facilities that underpin our Conformity of Production (CoP) programme. From supporting emissions testing to managing equipment and supplier relationships, your work will directly impact our ability to deliver compliant, high-performance vehicles to customers worldwide.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Support and maintain world-class emissions testing facilities to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of vehicle emissions test equipment and infrastructure
  • Compile, verify, and manage test data to support compliance reporting and investigations
  • Conduct regular checks and audits to ensure facilities meet regulatory standards
  • Coordinate with suppliers for routine maintenance, repairs, and equipment availability
  • Support investigations into test failures and assist with facility correlation programmes
  • Maintain asset registers and manage compressed gas stock levels for testing operations

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Bring your technical expertise and proactive mindset to keep our compliance operations running smoothly.
  • Hands-on experience with vehicle emissions testing equipment, including chassis dynamometers and gas analysers
  • Strong skills in test data handling, interpretation, and software tools used in emissions validation
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues with test equipment and infrastructure
  • Excellent communication skills for working with suppliers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to remain calm and methodical under pressure, with a proactive and inquisitive approach to problem-solving
  • A strong sense of ownership and willingness to take responsibility for your own development and objectives
