Lucy Cavendish College invites applications for a Junior Research Fellowship in English with focus on Medieval/Early Modern periods or African/Indian literature, History with modern global history focus, or Geography with climate/environmental emphasis.

Candidates must be early career researchers who have recently obtained their PhD (no more than 18 months post PhD) or whose viva is scheduled, with degree awarded by the start of the Fellowship.

Qualifications

• Recent PhD (no more than 18 months post PhD) or viva scheduled, with degree awarded by start date.
• Should not have held a stipendiary research fellowship at another UK institution.
• Strong research potential and ability to contribute to college life.

Responsibilities

• Engage in research and its dissemination.
• Possibility to undertake limited hours of small group teaching within the college with additional payment.
• Participate fully in college life.
