Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Emerging Markets Macro Portfolio Manager to launch and lead a new investment pod at a leading global U.S. hedge fund. This role offers an entrepreneurial opportunity to build and scale your macro strategy focused on emerging markets. The ideal candidate will have a strong and consistent track record of alpha generation across EM FX, rates, sovereign credit, and other macro instruments, with full ownership of portfolio construction, risk management, and team development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategy Ownership: Design, launch, and manage a new macro trading desk focused on emerging markets (LATAM, EMEA, Asia, etc.), leveraging discretionary and/or systematic approaches.
• Alpha Generation: Develop and execute high conviction trades informed by macroeconomic analysis, monetary and fiscal policy, geopolitical dynamics, and local market conditions.
• Risk Management: Maintain disciplined risk and capital management with a proven track record of doing so.

Key Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in emerging markets macro investing at a hedge fund, bank, or asset manager.
• Proven and verifiable track record of consistent profitability with a strong Sharpe ratio.
• Expertise across EM regions and asset classes (FX, rates, sovereign debt, derivatives, etc.).
• Entrepreneurial mindset with experience or appetite for building out a team or desk.
