Overview:

A specialist investment firm focused on emerging markets is seeking an experienced Business Developer to help expand its institutional investor base. The firm focuses on private credit and special situations, deploying flexible capital into complex opportunities across regions including Latin America, Eastern Europe, and select frontier markets.

Working closely with senior leadership, this hire will be responsible for capital raising, investor relationship management, and supporting the firm's continued global growth trajectory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, develop, and manage relationships with institutional investors, consultants, and family offices across strategic regions.
  • Communicate the firm's differentiated investment approach, with a focus on private credit, structured finance, and opportunistic investments in complex markets.
  • Collaborate with investment and operations teams to ensure alignment between investor expectations and strategy execution.
  • Lead and support fundraising initiatives for new funds and bespoke mandates.
  • Stay informed on market trends, macro developments, and geopolitical shifts impacting target geographies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in institutional sales, investor relations, or capital raising within private markets or alternative investments.
  • Strong understanding of credit strategies, particularly in emerging and frontier markets.
  • Proven ability to originate and close investor commitments.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to articulate complex strategies with clarity.
  • Multilingual capabilities and cross-cultural experience are a plus.
