Job summary

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Trainee Biomedical Scientist to join a busy Haematology and Transfusion service across four hospital sites. Working under supervision you will analyse clinical specimens, perform routine and specialised investigations, and develop competency in molecular techniques.

Qualifications

• Experience with LIMS, other IT systems and Quality Management Systems.
• Desire to develop competence in analytical techniques and interpreting complex results.

Responsibilities

• Work under supervision to analyse clinical specimens and perform routine investigations.
• Assess analytical requests and select appropriate investigations.
• Record results in the laboratory information system and report via validation.
• Contribute to 24-hour analytical service alongside a team.
• Participate in training to support laboratory operations and QA data trends.
