Job summary

Everybody Arts in Calderdale is seeking an emerging socially engaged artist for an eight-month traineeship. You will help develop your creative practice while contributing to artist development, community engagement and cultural strategy.

Working three days a week with Directors and the Everybody Arts team, you will help shape a new five-year strategy for artist development and cultural participation through research, consultation and creative engagement.

Qualifications

• Emerging artist with developing creative practice and interest in socially engaged work.
• Strong communication, listening and teamwork skills; organised and detail-oriented.
• Willingness to learn and share ideas, aligned with Everybody Arts values.

Responsibilities

• Research artist-led organisations and development models; support strategy development.
• Support community engagement through meetings, focus groups and consultations.
• Develop practice through mentoring and reflective learning; build networks in Calderdale.
• Maintain records, create digital content and assist with reports and presentations.
• Attend meetings and training; uphold safeguarding, equality, GDPR and health & safety policies.
