Job summary

Allen Architects in South East London is seeking a recently qualified Part 3 architect or an experienced Part 2 architectural assistant to join our studio. You’ll engage across residential and commercial projects, from early ideas and design development through to technical delivery and site.

You’ll work closely with our team, clients and engineers, taking ownership of your work and growing with the practice in a supportive, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Architecture (RIBA Part 3) or Part 2 qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in a UK-based architectural practice across RIBA work stages.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp Pro, Adobe Creative Suite and NBS Chorus.

Responsibilities

• Explore and develop design ideas that respond to the project brief, technical requirements and client needs
• Carry out measured surveys and prepare site reports. Develop presentations and drawings using AutoCAD
• Take designs from early concepts through to technical development, coordinating with engineers, manufacturers and consultants
• Produce drawings and supporting information for planning, building control, tender and construction stages
• Attend project and site meetings and, with support from the wider team, undertake site inspections and contract administration duties
• Maintain project records and quality assurance information, and communicate effectively with clients and project teams
