Emergency Works Scheduler

Location: Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom, SR3 3XR

Contract: Full time

Salary: £32,211 made up of basic salary of £27,068 per annum plus 19% shift allowance (£5,143) and up to 5% bonus

Contract Duration: Fixed term contract for six months

Working Hours: Alternating shift pattern between the hours of 07:00 – 23:00

We have an exciting opportunity for an Emergency Works Scheduler in our fast-paced Dispatch team for a fixed term contract of six months.

As the key contact between the customer and our field-based gas operatives, you will be communicating and scheduling reported gas emergencies (and non-emergencies) to our operations teams. The role is pivotal in supporting customers internally and externally whilst ensuring safety and that standards of service are met which are defined by our regulator OFGEM.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  1. Deliver first-class customer service to internal and external customers by overseeing the activities of all field-based staff to ensure compliance with field procedures.
  2. Liaise with field-based staff and Emergency Site Managers regarding the scheduling and dispatching of work to ensure safety, customer satisfaction, and efficiency.
  3. Operate within business continuity procedures to assist and support the Dispatch Team Leader throughout and after BCM events.
  4. Communicate effectively with all customers including field-based personnel and Site Managers.
  5. Promote safe team working, innovative thinking, and a customer-first philosophy.
What We Are Looking For
  1. Willingness to work an alternating shift pattern which includes weekends, Bank Holidays, and evening work.
  2. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment dealing with customers.
  3. Excellent user of Microsoft systems and ability to pick up new systems easily.
  4. Excellent communication, prioritisation, and decision-making skills.
  5. A team player.
What We Offer You
  1. £32,211 made up of a basic salary of £27,068 per annum plus 19% shift allowance (£5,143).
  2. Free onsite parking.
  3. 40 hours per week.
  4. Up to 5% bonus (dependent upon achievement of set targets).
  5. 25 days annual leave (plus recognised bank holidays and 2 half days over the Christmas period).
  6. SSP for the first 7 calendar days then Occupational sick pay.
