Position: Veterinarian

Location: Westcoast Animal Veterinary Emergency Specialty Hospital (WAVES), Victoria, BC

Salary: $140,000 - $170,000

WAVES is an emergency and multi-specialty hospital located in the heart of the West Shore of Vancouver Island, approximately 20 minutes from downtown Victoria. If you love the outdoors and are looking for year-round recreation opportunities with a flexible schedule, then this is the place for you!

WAVES offers 24/7 care alongside boarded specialists in critical care, surgery, internal medicine, neurology, and interventional radiology/endoscopy. The beautiful newer 9,700 sq ft hospital features an in-house lab, dedicated ICU, digital radiology, ultrasound, MRI, in-house CT, endoscopy, fluoroscopy, underwater treadmill, and 3 fully equipped surgical suites. We are equipped to handle high acuity cases from all over Vancouver Island.

Minimum Requirements:

• Previous ER experience, especially internship training, is an asset.
• Veterinarians with 2+ years of GP clinical experience.
• Shift work including overnights, weekends, and holidays will be required to offer 24/7 emergency coverage.

Overall, the position offers flexibility in scheduling and allows for ample time to spend with family or pursue hobbies.
