As a Livelihoods/Economic Development Advisor in a response, your primary responsibility is to spearhead the economic recovery and resilience-building efforts of affected households and communities. Your expertise will be instrumental in crafting and executing livelihoods interventions aimed at not just restoring, but enhancing, the economic well-being of those impacted by crises. The Livelihoods/ED Advisor is responsible for:

Networking & External Engagement
Learning and Research
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE
Required Education: Bachelor’s in Livelihoods/ED, Economy, Food Security, Agriculture, or related fields. Master’s preferred in Economic Development, Business, or Food Security.
Required Professional Experience: 3-5 years in Economic Development or Livelihoods/ED, experience in NGO and humanitarian settings, capacity building, needs assessment, and project design, with experience working with UN agencies and government stakeholders.
Preferred Experience: Program design, women economic empowerment, strategy development, HEAT certification.
Travel and Work Environment: Ability to travel domestically and internationally, work in challenging environments, and communicate effectively in English. Other UN languages are a plus.
