Job summary

Class 1 Personnel are recruiting an Emergency Response Driver for a major safety government department. You must hold a Class 2 licence; training in Oxford is two weeks, with all expenses paid and £18 per hour for attendance.

After completion you join a VIP list for call‑outs. Training totals 12 days plus 5 days practical (204 hours). Candidates should be fit, reliable, and ready to stay away from home in Oxfordshire.

Qualifications

• Physically fit for demanding training and duties.
• Able to stand with heavy equipment for long periods.
• No fear of heights and able to wear breathing apparatus.
• Willing to undergo a DBS check and UK criminal check.
• Prepared to stay away from home in Oxfordshire for training/refresher yearly.

Responsibilities

• Attend two weeks of paid emergency response driver training in Oxford.
• Complete 12 days plus 5 days practical training (204 hours total).
• Be added to a VIP government list after training for call‑outs.
• Demonstrate reliability and attention to detail during training and duties.
