Morson Talent is working with a major player in the Energy Sector to recruit Emergency Response Advisors for their site in Somerset. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of Europe's largest Energy infrastructure Projects. Contract (renewable) – inside IR35.
Overview
- Support the Emergency Response Lead in site/nuclear emergency response and act as an advisor for operational response and recovery during construction. Ensure operational response plans and equipment are adequate.
- Develop strong working relationships with all stakeholders, providing clear communication and support to internal teams and external partners, ensuring emergency arrangements are appropriate for current and future risks.
Typical Responsibilities
- Provide technical advice on fire and emergency response to management and the Emergency Response Lead.
- Advise on incident response plans for the site.
- Develop and manage incident support and recovery plans.
- Support incident command at the scene and remotely.
- Interface with regulators on emergency matters when needed.
- Ensure firefighting and technical rescue assurance as directed.
- Promote testing and exercises of emergency plans.
- Conduct inspections, checks, and audits related to rescue operations.
- Support emergency exercise planning and delivery.
- Represent the contractor in internal meetings and site coordination.
- Assist in developing and reviewing rescue plans and competencies.
- Maintain knowledge of site-specific risk profiles and emergency response requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
- Rescue from height and confined spaces
- Command Level 1 and Tactical Command Level 2 certifications
- MCA 3P and 5P certifications
- City & Guilds Level 4 Award in Legislation for Work in Confined Spaces
- Ability to interpret plans and develop emergency response strategies
- Extensive fire, rescue, and emergency response experience in a commercial setting
- Knowledge of emergency response equipment and procedures
- Strong communication, instruction, and presentation skills
- Resilient and confident in challenging situations
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and rescue techniques
