A regional healthcare provider in Liverpool seeks a part-time Emergency Planning Manager to ensure compliance with EPRR requirements. Responsibilities include developing incident response plans and supporting emergency preparedness activities across multiple hospitals. Ideal candidates will have strong communication and project management skills, with a proven track record in emergency planning and business continuity. This pivotal role offers a chance to improve organizational resilience and enhance patient care across the region.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Emergency Planning Manager to join the University Hospitals of Liverpool (UHL) Group on a part-time basis. This is a pivotal role within our organisation, supporting emergency preparedness, resilience and response (EPRR) across a diverse and complex group of hospital sites including the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Aintree University Hospital, Broadgreen Hospital, The Walton Centre, and Liverpool Women’s Hospital.
The EPRR Manager will be responsible for ensuring UHLG's ongoing compliance with statutory EPRR requirements, including the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and NHS England Core Standards. You will lead on the development and maintenance of incident response and business continuity plans, coordinate risk assessments, and provide specialist advice and guidance to all teams across the Group.
This is a varied and challenging post that requires excellent communication skills, confidence working with senior leaders and multi-agency partners, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. You will play a central role in preparing the sites for potential major incidents, supporting the delivery of live and table-top exercises, and helping to embed a culture of resilience across the system.
