An established industry player is seeking an Emergency Planning Manager to enhance community safety and resilience. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the Council’s emergency preparedness and response strategies, ensuring that plans are current and effective. Collaborating with various stakeholders, you will provide expert guidance on emergency planning and business continuity, while also leading the training of on-call officers. We have an exciting opportunity to join our fast-paced Community Safety and Resilience Service as an Emergency Planning Manager.
As our Emergency Planning Manager, you will be responsible for the Council’s preparedness, response, and recovery arrangements under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. This will include:

You will be required to be part of the Council’s on-call Emergency Response rota, for which an allowance is provided in addition to your salary. Flexibility to work outside core hours and during weekends may be necessary.
