Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts is recruiting a Clinical Teaching Fellow in Emergency Medicine on a fixed-term maternity cover for 12 months. The role combines undergraduate medical teaching in the acute care setting with clinical activity in the Emergency Department.

The post supports three days of teaching per week and two days of direct patient care, with opportunities to supervise WBAs, DOPs and CBDs, and to contribute to medical education research and faculty development.

Qualifications

• GMC or NMC registration required.
• Experience in Emergency Medicine (minimum 6 months) and a track record in teaching.
• Ability to deliver undergraduate teaching and supervise medical students.

Responsibilities

• Provide three days of undergraduate medical teaching per week in acute care.
• Allocate two days per week to clinical activity in the Emergency Department.
• Supervise WBAs, DOPs, CBDs and contribute to exam questions.
• Support inter-professional teaching and faculty development.
