Somerset NHS Foundation Trust are seeking a Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine for Yeovil Hospital. You will join a busy, high-performing ED with a focus on patient care, education, and career development.

The role includes leadership in trauma, supervision of junior staff, and involvement in audits and governance. The department offers flexible working patterns, strong teaching, and access to professional development, with a supportive team in a beautiful Somerset location near the coast

Qualifications

• Primary medical degree and GMC registration.
• Current ALS/ACLS certification and ATLS/APLS/PALS/EPLS or course place.
• Commitment to Continuing Professional Development.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct clinical care in the ED and maintain operational standards.
• Lead trauma and resuscitation cases as needed.
• Supervise junior doctors and multidisciplinary staff.
• Participate in quality improvement, audits, and clinical governance.
• Contribute to teaching and departmental training.
• Support patient care and overall department performance.
