Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust seeks a Locally Employed Doctor to join a busy Emergency Department. This permanent LED position offers a 40-hour week with opportunities for fixed-term roles to cover workforce needs.

The department is led by Consultants and includes a dedicated on-site Children’s ED. It provides strong teaching with a culture of education and trainee development for junior doctors.

Competenze

• Evidence of completion of 2-year training programme.
• Demonstrable skills and experience in Emergency Medicine.
• Experience of working within the NHS.
• MRCEM exams.

Mansioni

• Initial assessment and triage of patients to prioritise care.
• Diagnosis and treatment, including procedures and medications.
• Monitoring and stabilising patients in critical states.
• Collaborate with ED nurses, consultants and other staff for comprehensive care.
• Accurate documentation of patient information and treatments.
• Explain diagnoses and treatment plans to patients and families.
• Adhere to hospital and departmental guidelines and standards of care.
