Job description

We’re looking for an experienced Emergency Measures Project Manager to lead the delivery of critical action plans and improvement initiatives aligned with the Security & Emergency Measures Direction (SEMD) framework.

This is a unique opportunity to join a cross-functional team driving measurable and sustainable compliance across emergency planning and protective security for a major Utilities organisation. You’ll take ownership of project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and risk management, ensuring progress is tracked and reported through established governance structures.

Location: South East
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday
Salary: £55,000–£68,000 per annum, depending on experience

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Project Management: Design and implement SEMD-related action plans, track milestones, and report progress through governance boards.
  • Documentation & Governance: Maintain project documentation including RACI, RAIDO, and plans, ensuring alignment with internal frameworks and stage gates.
  • Risk Management: Identify and report business-level risks to SEMD compliance, integrating with strategic risk procedures.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate across teams to manage regulatory obligations and ensure transparent communication.
  • Change Management: Develop and implement change plans for SEMD initiatives.
  • Reporting: Produce clear, concise updates for programme boards and senior stakeholders.

What You’ll Bring:
