Main area: Emergency care, Grade: NHS AfC: Band 3, Contract: Permanent, Working hours: Long days (07:30-20:00) and Twilights (11:30-00:00), 37.5 hours per week.

Job overview

The Trust is seeking enthusiastic and driven Emergency Care Technicians with excellent clinical and communication skills to join the Same Day Emergency Care Unit. The unit provides specialized acute services to treat patients with varying medical conditions.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the nursing team, ensuring patients have timely investigations, and carrying out specific skills such as cannulation, phlebotomy, and electrocardiogram (ECG).

The candidate will also support all fundamentals of care, ensuring patients have a positive experience of the MSDEC process.
