EMEIA PED Assembly Technician
Temporary or permanent positions available.
Kurt J. Lesker Company is seeking a skilled and motivated assembly technician to join our Process Equipment Division. This person is responsible for the assembly of standard and custom products, sub-assemblies, and coating systems. Tasks include assembling or modifying mechanical or electrical assemblies from schematics or work instructions of higher complexity. Leadership roles and administrative responsibilities may be included. If you thrive in a precision-driven environment and have a strong eye for detail, we want to hear from you.
Key Job Elements:
- Assembly and testing of higher-level mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies
- Electrical wiring and/or plumbing within the system framework
- Mounting of mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies
- Troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical assemblies
- Performing helium leak detection
- Potential leadership roles assisting in quality control, scheduling, and daily activities
- Customer interaction and on-site service work may be required
- Training other technicians on assembly methods and techniques
- Using standard tools and portable power equipment safely
- Basic manual machining capabilities may be required
- Performing tasks logically and skillfully while maintaining high-quality workmanship
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Working hours: Weekdays 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with possible overtime
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required
- GCSEs or equivalent
- 5–10 years related experience
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, twist, and lift up to 14kg unassisted; assistance required for items over this weight. Assistance always required for items over 27kg.
Preferred
- Vocational training
- Basic understanding of vacuum technology

Equipment:
- Standard mechanical and electrical hand tools
- Portable drills, heat guns, multimeters, soldering stations
- Manual shop machinery such as drill press, shear, band saw, horizontal mill, lathe
- PC and manufacturing/administrative software
- Additional equipment as needed
