Job summary

FM is seeking an experienced Strategic Communications Lead for the EMEA region to drive external communications, media relations, and thought leadership across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You will work with executives, SMEs, and agencies to develop and execute coordinated programs that raise FM’s earned media profile.

Qualifications

• Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field.
• Proven PR and marketing experience (min 9 years) in corporate or agency settings.
• Experience translating technical topics for Tier 1 media.
• Proven track record with Tier 1 journalists.
• Experience collaborating with a global distributed team.
• Fluent in modern communications channels; social and digital media.
• B2B insurance/financial services experience desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft products and ability to learn new tech.
• Familiarity with AI workplace tools (Microsoft 365 Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute external communications and thought leadership strategies for EMEA.
• Lead media relations, overseeing EMEA PR agencies and opportunities.
• Build relationships with Tier 1 journalists and opportunities for interviews and features.
• Collaborate with executives and SMEs on media interviews and content.
• Create and optimize thought leadership content aligned with events and campaigns.
• Oversee content creation by agencies, interns, and freelancers; write and edit material.
• Coordinate with regional leaders and marketing to maximize earned media impact.
