Job summary

zerohash is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (EMEA) to join the Platform team. The role requires base in the EMEA region and availability during standard hours.

You will co-own production services, drive reliable and scalable operations, and collaborate with software engineering to improve performance and delivery. This position emphasizes automation, on-call responsiveness, and shared ownership.

Qualifications

• Experience deploying, managing and troubleshooting infrastructure in AWS.
• Full lifecycle of deploying containers to production using self-managed Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
• Ability to build custom tooling when off-the-shelf options are unavailable.
• Understanding of CI/CD and deploying code to production environments.
• Ability to diagnose problems in distributed Linux systems and trace requests across applications.
• Automation of routine tasks and proficiency in at least two programming languages.
• Excellent written and spoken communication to explain complex ideas.

Responsibilities

• Co-own production services to ensure reliability and scalability.
• Deliver new features and operate existing services daily.
• Collaborate with software engineering to drive operational improvements through metrics.
• Develop and maintain performance benchmarks for applications.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and monitoring, enabling efficient releases.
• Provide SRE/operational support including tooling, automation, and workflow management.
• Participate in weekly on-call rotation to investigate and resolve issues.
• Manage and scale various infrastructure systems.
