Job summary

McCormick is seeking a Sensory & Consumer Science Manager to lead a team of scientists and analysts across the UK, delivering strategic sensory insights for Flavour Solutions. The role partners with product development, quality, and commercial teams to shape new products and cost-out initiatives.

You will guide methodologies, interpret results, and present actionable recommendations to internal stakeholders while promoting customer centricity across regions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Sensory & Consumer Science, Food Science or a related discipline.
• Demonstrable background in sensory & consumer science.
• Experience leading or mentoring sensory professionals.
• Strong experience presenting to customers and stakeholders.
• Excellent written, verbal, influencing and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Sensory & Consumer Scientists and Analysts across UK/EMEA.
• Provide strategic research advice to stakeholders to meet business needs.
• Compile and interpret sensory reports with methodologies and results.
• Drive roadmaps and plans with Business Units.
• Collaborate with quality teams in UK sites and promote best practices.
