A leading provider of advanced aerospace and defense solutions, focusing on cybersecurity, autonomous systems, and mission systems is currently seeking an EMEA Security Manager to join their team, with positions available in Cheltenham, London, or Manchester.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Security Specialist, you will lead security operations and compliance activities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Your responsibilities include managing classified program support, crisis management, business resiliency planning, personnel security, and asset protection. You'll oversee security investigations and insider threat detection while collaborating with various business units. This senior role involves leading a team of security professionals to ensure the protection of employees, assets, and information, as well as compliance with policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the EMEA regional security function, ensuring the efficient and compliant delivery of security services.
  • Guide a team of multi-disciplinary security staff and foster strong relationships with site leaders across the region.
  • Provide support for UK security, helping to grow a high-performing security team.
  • Oversee crisis management and business resiliency efforts in the UK, while coordinating with global security leadership.
  • Continually assess and mitigate security risks, providing timely updates to leadership.
  • Collaborate with in-country security teams to ensure excellence in security management and compliance.
  • Support cyber security efforts in collaboration with global leadership.
  • Review, recommend, and implement security solutions in line with enterprise standards and customer requirements.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, customers, and national security agencies.
  • Ensure UK and regional security procedures comply with applicable regulations and corporate policies.
  • Support corporate security strategies and provide regular updates on security operations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Senior-level experience in the security field, ideally within government or defense sectors.
  • Proven leadership in managing security teams and projects in a global organization.
  • Familiarity with ISO27001 and other industry standards.
  • Certifications such as CISM, CPP, ISP, or NCSF are desirable.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of security standards, legislation, and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage with diverse stakeholders across different regions.
  • Able to manage risk and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and adaptable to change.

Other Requirements:

  • Occasional travel within the UK and EMEA.
  • Must hold or be eligible for UK security clearance (DV level).

Salary:

  • Up to £120,000 annually
