Job description

EMEA Regional Field Compliance Officer

The Ethics & Compliance organization enables our people, businesses, and partners to act ethically, comply with policies and laws, and uphold our RISE values. We develop and maintain best practice programs and procedures that enhance CBRE's reputation as an ethical company and support our aspiration for world-class standards.

What you will be doing:
  1. Serve as the primary contact between CBRE's business leaders in the EMEA region and the Global Ethics & Compliance Team.
  2. Manage Field Compliance Officers across the EMEA region, including the UK, Western Europe, Central Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
  3. Collaborate with local management and staff to identify compliance risks.
  4. Ensure the implementation and execution of CBRE's Global Ethics & Compliance programs across the region, in line with company standards and requirements.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Facilitating periodic risk assessments.
  2. Overseeing annual standards of business conduct certifications and employee disclosures.
  3. Managing governance of regional and local policies, including approvals of policy addendums.
  4. Training staff on local risks and global compliance initiatives.
  5. Establishing risk-based monitoring processes within the region.

Securing leadership engagement through:

  1. Updating and implementing policies and procedures.
  2. Providing compliance training to key employees.
  3. Offering timely advice on compliance issues.
  4. Supporting management in addressing audit findings and red flags.
  5. Supporting internal investigations and coordinating feedback and remediation actions.

Additional responsibilities:

  1. Promoting a Speak-Up culture aligned with RISE values.
  2. Participating in management and leadership forums.
  3. Establishing and chairing Compliance Review Boards.
  4. Collaborating with support functions to deliver the ethics and compliance program effectively.
  5. Representing regional needs in global compliance initiatives.
  6. Supporting M&A due diligence and integration processes.
  7. Guiding the business on compliance questionnaires and client inquiries.
  8. Contributing to the development of the global Ethics & Compliance team.
What you will need:
  • Chartered Accountant/ACCA/FCA qualification.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience, preferably with a Big 4 background.
  • Experience within regulated industries in the UK and Europe, with strong compliance and enterprise risk management expertise.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage and develop Field Compliance Officers across the EMEA region, including staffing, training, coaching, and performance management, modeling CBRE’s values.
