EMEA Prudential Regulatory Reporting Director (Market Risk)

Global Investment Bank is currently hiring for a Regulatory Reporting Director to lead their Market Risk BAU team in London. This is a newly created role following a strategic expansion of the team and is an ideal opportunity for an experienced prudential regulatory reporting professional with strong market risk knowledge seeking their next leadership role.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the Market Risk Regulatory Reporting team in London, Dublin, and Paris (10 FTEs).
  2. Lead the Capital Reporting process (both internally and externally), focusing on Market Risk.
  3. Oversee EU and UK capital calculations and reporting for three prudentially regulated entities, including standardised and internal model RWA calculations across UK, France, and Ireland.
  4. Review daily/weekly RWA calculations to support management of UK and EU entities' capital adequacy.
  5. Supervise external regulatory reporting and disclosures, including quarterly returns, manual adjustments, reconciliations, and variance analysis for UK and EU entities.
  6. Initiate system development (BAU) to support regulatory changes, improve efficiency, and controls, including reviewing business requirements, data sourcing, UAT, and testing.
  7. Contribute to strategic system development projects by defining data, calculation, and reporting requirements.
  8. Collaborate with Front Office, market risk, model developers, and other stakeholders on capital management and RWA efficiencies.
  9. Serve as the key contact for external regulators and internal stakeholders such as Risk, Internal Audit, and Compliance.
  10. Lead issue management by identifying and resolving process and reporting issues.
  11. Continuously improve regulatory reporting processes, enhance submission quality, and explore efficiencies.
  12. Participate in ad hoc projects, including implementing new regulatory requirements like FRTB and upgrading regulatory reporting infrastructure.

Requirements:

  1. Currently leading a prudential regulatory reporting team in a large investment bank.
  2. Strong knowledge of prudential reporting across Market Risk.
  3. Extensive managerial and leadership experience.
  4. Proven expertise in RWA calculations and FRTB regulations.
  5. Experience with CoRep and Pillar 3 disclosures.
  6. Involvement in FRTB implementation projects (preferred).
  7. Knowledge of Axiom (preferred).
  8. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) (preferred).
  9. High ownership, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  10. Aptitude for understanding regulatory rules and requirements.
