Job summary

Lightsource bp is seeking a Manager, Analysis - Power Markets, EMEA, based in London. You will lead market analysis, pricing structures, and financial modelling to drive revenue strategies for solar and storage across Europe.

The role requires strong knowledge of European power markets, extensive modelling experience, and proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and Python. Energy/renewables experience is preferred and a hybrid work model is possible.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of European power markets and pricing dynamics.
• Experience with quantitative modeling is a plus.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI; Python preferred.
• Experience in energy/renewables/solar PV or commodities trading is preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Market & Regulatory Analysis: track EMA power market trends and inform strategy.
• Pricing & PPAs: model and price offtake structures with cross-functional teams.
• Financial Modelling: ensure consistency and accuracy across models.
• Government Auctions: analyze opportunities and aid bidding strategy.
• Short-Term Markets: analyze trends, prepare exposure reports, update risk forums.
