Lightsource bp is seeking a Manager, Analysis Power Markets EMEA in London. You will lead market analysis, financial modelling, and route-to-market strategy for solar and storage projects across Europe, shaping pricing structures and merchant trading approaches.

The role requires experience in European power markets, strong Excel/Power BI skills, and a background in energy/renewables. You will collaborate with Origination and Commercial teams to deliver value and drive the energy transition.

Qualifications

• BA or equivalent required.
• Masters preferred.
• Experience in energy/renewables/solar PV or a commodities trading environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Market & Regulatory Analysis: Analyse ongoing trends in EMEA power markets to inform internal view and keep key stakeholders updated.
• Pricing & PPAs: Model and price offtake structures with Origination and Commercial teams to deliver value deals.
• Financial Modelling: Support client and senior management engagements; ensure consistency and accuracy of power market assumptions across models.
• Government Auctions: Analyse auction opportunities and support bidding strategy development.
• Short-Term Markets: Analyse trends to support energy management; prepare exposure reports; present updates.

What you’ll do (the role)

Summary

The Power Markets, Europe team atLSbpdevelops and manages revenue strategies for the company's solar and storage projects across Europe. As a Power Markets Analysis Manager,you'dleadmarket analysis, financial modelling, route-to-market strategy,and pricestructuringwhilst buildingexpertisein renewable energycommercialisation, including PPA structures, subsidies, and merchant trading strategies.

Role responsibilities

• Pricing & PPAs: Work closely with Origination and Commercial teams to model and price offtake structures, and deliver best value deals toLSbp
• Financial Modelling: Support client and senior management engagements; ensure consistency and accuracy of power market assumptions across models.
• Government Auctions: Analyse auction opportunities and support bidding strategy development.
• Short-Term Markets: Analyse trends to support energy management; prepare exposure reports; present monthly updates to risk forums.

Why you’ll make a great member of the team

Experience & Knowledge Required

• Aunderstanding and interest in European power markets.This includes knowledge of supply-demand dynamics, energy trading, and the role of various market participants.
• Familiarity with the methods and structures used for pricing energy commodities in different regions. Experience in quantitative modeling is a plus
• Excellent knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI. Python or other coding skills preferred
• Experience in energy/renewables/solar PV or in a commodities trading environment preferred.
