Job Description

SRG is seeking an EMEA payroll specialist for a global pharmaceutical company based in Manchester. The role involves managing payroll processes for sites in the EMEA region (including UK, Belgium, Netherlands, France, Spain, etc.) in collaboration with a third-party payroll provider. The primary responsibility is ensuring accurate and timely salary payments for employees at these sites. The role also involves managing payroll topics related to expats, such as shadow payroll, in partnership with internal and external stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and oversee payroll data accuracy with the third-party provider, including legal and non-legal changes and internal company updates.
  2. Review, verify, and process payroll data according to country-specific regulations, including calculating premiums and performing manual checks.
  3. Handle payroll functions in compliance with local laws, such as processing new hires, terminations, tax changes, and deductions.
  4. Maintain payroll records, including sick leave, vacation, and other leaves.
  5. Gather payroll and benefit information, issue monthly instructions to the payroll provider, and approve payroll records.
  6. Coordinate with Finance to disburse payroll-related payments.
  7. Communicate with employees regarding payroll matters and troubleshoot complex issues.
  8. Collaborate with internal teams (HR, Finance, Tax, Legal, IT) and external partners.
  9. Assist with audits and process improvements.
  10. Train colleagues to ensure payroll process resilience.
  11. Adhere to SLAs and focus on delivering excellent customer service.
  12. Participate in local payroll projects.
  13. Maintain knowledge of payroll legislation relevant to assigned regions.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience managing payrolls across multiple EMEA regions.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Proactive attitude and quick learner.
  • Experience handling multiple payrolls simultaneously.
  • Language skills, especially Italian, are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of compliance and legislation across different countries.
