Job description

Please note that this is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday 9am-6pm with 3 days in the office and 2 from home.

A&M’s intranet, Connect, is our virtual library and the portal to our services and resources globally.

The Intranet Manager will be part of the Intranet and Internal Content EMEA (IICE) Team, reporting to the Head of IICE in London. They will lead the development of our regional site with a focus on strategic business unit portals. The role involves working alongside the Intranet Coordinator EMEA, responsible for restructuring sub-sites, training, and supporting country intranets. The team is part of the wider Operations business unit, and the successful candidate will collaborate closely with Knowledge Management, Marketing, and the Insight Center.

Our intranet is hosted on SharePoint Online with a global and regional presence, offering opportunities to share news, knowledge, guidelines, templates, and more. As the firm expands, so does our intranet’s remit to provide services lines, business units, and countries with rich content resources.

This is a varied role. The successful candidate will need to understand the business, firm goals, and the latest intranet best practices to maintain a site that delivers content through a quick and easy navigation experience. They will act as a champion of A&M’s information services at all times.

Responsibilities:

Intranet Strategy and Management
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan for the EMEA intranet aligned with organizational requirements and objectives.
  • Collaborate with the Global Intranet Team to understand SharePoint developments, share best practices, and work on initiatives with a global scope (e.g., Amplify and Engage).
  • Manage daily intranet operations, ensuring functionality, relevance, and optimal user experience.
  • Work with Analytics team to leverage usage data, implement improvements, and monitor progress.
Content Management
  • Oversee regional content creation, curation, and maintenance to ensure relevance and accuracy.
  • Support strategic business units through management of their bespoke content and information sharing across divisions.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and the Intranet Coordinator to ensure effective content representation.
  • Maintain content governance policies and standards.
  • Coordinate with Internal Communications for news scheduling and dissemination.
  • Support business units in updating their sites in collaboration with the Intranet Coordinator.
  • Promote the intranet as the central resource for communication and collaboration within the firm.
  • Gather user feedback for continuous improvement and implement necessary changes.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in intranet and digital workplace solutions.
  • Partner with the Global Intranet Team to roll out new features and platforms to enhance the intranet experience.
  • Lead initiatives to boost employee engagement and collaboration through the intranet.

What you bring:

  • Adaptability to new technologies and business needs.
  • Experience in Communications or Marketing is a plus.
  • English proficiency; second language is advantageous.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable with quantitative data.
  • Extensive experience with SharePoint Online and O365 applications.
